Growing up, I always rushed breakfast: an energy bar scarfed while trying to catch the subway, a smoothie gulped before school, or (I hate to admit) an empty stomach protesting in class while I skipped yet another breakfast. With the COVID-19 Pandemic confining us to our homes for the past two years, I vowed to myself that I would take the time to eat a healthy breakfast every single morning.

However, when I tried to instill this ritual day after day following a strenuous running workout, I was finding myself feeling worse rather than better. What was going on?! All I needed to do was flip my granola package to the back to find out - one serving (read: two bites) of the granola I was consuming housed 15% of my sugar allotment for the day. No wonder I was feeling zapped, grumpy, and hungry again in two hours.

The "sugar-free" and "keto friendly" granolas were no better, packing nearly double the calories of the sugar-loaded ones, all whilst providing a mouthfeel reminiscent of overcooked french fries. 

I thought, "there had to be something out there that was low-calorie, gluten-free, sugar-free and legitimately healthy!" But to my frustration, no such concoction existed.

Thus, the impetus for Juju's was born. Over the next twelve months, I relentlessly recipe-tested, re-tested, sampled and tweaked what we now know and love as "Juju's Toasted Cinnamon No Sugar Added Granola". While we are still young, my mission with Juju's is clear: I want everyone to feel their best by pairing the most delicious flavors with the best possible nutrition so that eating healthy is a joy.
